Tipard iPhone 4 to Mac Transfer is a backup tool for your iPhone. It also supports other Apple devices like the iPod Touch, all the models of the iPhone and all the models of the iPad. The app lets you copy your music, pictures, videos, ringtones, and voice memos from your iOS devices to your Mac. This comes in very handy when you need to backup your device, or simply copy some music to your Mac for playback or safekeeping. Since, you don't have to sync with iTunes to use this app, you can install it on any Mac and transfer your iOS device's data freely. This app can also send music directly to iTunes, which saves quite some time.
The main window shows a summary of your iOS device, along with its firmware number, version, capacity, etc. On the left pane, you will see the connected device(s) and underneath them all the data categories (music, videos, etc). You can simply click on them and check the items that you want to save to start your backup.
Unfortunately, this app doesn't let you transfer content to your iOS device. Many other "Transfer for iPhone" apps out there let you do that, and it is a nice feature. However, this app is cheaper than most others, so if that's not a feature you need, then you would be saving some bucks with this.
