This game is the fourth installment from The Secret Order series that's filled with interesting characters, plenty of plot twists, and nicely-drawn artworks and cinematics. The storyline resumes to the moment when the main character, Sarah Pennington, tries to find solutions for getting back to the future. She previously traveled back in time to save the ancient Kingdom of Aeronheart but lost her time machine in the process.
You will get to explore dozens of locations, collect various useful items, and solve numerous types of puzzles (hidden object, jigsaw, etc.). On your adventure, you're accompanied by a friendly creature called Nubi which will help you complete various tasks; for instance, he can fetch items from small, tight places.
I was very impressed by the fact that you get through various types of challenges. At one point, you need to move objects over a papyrus animations. In another challenge, your goal is to interact with multiple items from a scene in order to have access to a certain object.
Another thing I like about this puzzle game was that it offered an interactive help guide. In addition, you have access to a manual in the main menu of the app which you can check at any time.
In my opinion, it's worth buying this game for your Mac only if you played its previous installments. The Secret Order: Beyond Time is filled with dozens of challenging puzzles, brings you a built-in help guide, offers you hints, and much more. Plus, it comes with a reasonable price.
