Info updated on:

The Reader is an application designed primarily to help you read text formatted books more easily. To do that, it has several options that are very useful in case you want to improve your reading skills.

For example, if you do not know a word, you can highlight it, and the utility will give you the definition of that particular word. You can also choose the option Speak Text, and you will hear the pronunciation of the text you read at your own pace.

If you select "Automatically Speak Text" check box, you need to click the 'Next' button when one page finishes and you want the next page to be spoken. The "Auto Advance Pages" option allows the utility to speak all the pages automatically without interruption. You can also choose to have only highlighted text spoken.

With this utility, you can also save places in a book and indicate your name there, so that others could use the same book; manage your saved places in a book; go to whatever page you want; sort your saved books list and so on. All these options are designed to ease your job while working with books.

In addition, you can have fun customizing many settings, such as font, display, background, color, text size, and even voice. You can do all this in a few clicks, thanks to the user-friendly interface.
