Thanks for reviewing TG Pro! Just to clarify, it does have specific warnings if a user wants to lower the fan speeds. By default this option is off so the fans can be increased (and only to the max rpm specified by the hardware), which is safe.
It's not possible to damage the hardware at all since the fans can't be turned off or lowered without explicitly turning on an option (that also has a warning).
