Tattletale takes snapshots using your computer's iSight camera

Imagine - you're at a coffee shop, and return to your table to find your computer has been stolen. What if your computer could contact you and help you find it?

With Tattletale, it can.
Tattletale helps you monitor who is using your computer, and can help you recover it if stolen.
Tattletale takes snapshots using your computer's iSight camera and traces connection information each time someone logs onto your account or wakes your computer. It can be set to run in the background, giving no indication that your computer is being monitored. You can set a password to prevent other users from changing settings or quitting the app.
Setup is simple and can be done in less than a minute. Snapshots may be saved to a folder of your choice and/or emailed directly to you along with location information which can assist in recovery of your computer in the event it is stolen.

Location information includes the computer's public IP address and the network and internet service provider it is connected through. Working with police, internet service providers can trace the IP address to a specific user account - and street address. Tattletale also provides approximate location based on your computer's built-in positioning capabilities (when available).
