Tanbee Video Converter is a multi-format, commercial video converter. It can be used to convert files between a variety of video formats, including MPEG-4, H.264, MKV, MOV, FLV, among others. The support for formats is very good. It opened all the files that I tested it with.
Graphically, Tanbee Video Converter has a very clean interface, with a nice color scheme. One thing I like about the interface is that there aren't any unnecessary buttons anywhere on it. In fact, there are so little buttons that you might think the app doesn't even have extra features. But it does. It features a video editor and a trimmer. The trimmer lets you cut parts of your files, and the video editor allows you to add basic effects and touch up the video's brightness, among other things.
In terms of performance, Tanbee Video Converter seems to be on par with other solutions. It converted a 2-minute long 720p MKV file into an iPad HD MP4 file in less than 5 minutes. The file played well, although it showed a watermark, because I was using the trial version.
All in all, this is a nice converter. The only missing thing is subtitle hard-codding and GPU acceleration to make it for a very good converter.
- It has a lot of profiles
- Good format support
- Good interface and video editing features
- No support for subtitles and you can't select audio tracks
