Video and audio data and the lecture slides are recorded locally using the recorder software.
Instead of using the external Epiphan frame grabber, you can record your own desktop as a screencast. This procedure works directly on the recorder laptop, i.e. on Mac OS X only.
First choose an ideal resolution of the display you want to record (go to System Preferences -> Displays). We recommend a resolution of 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. Higher resolutions will result in a reduced frame rate and blurry pictures because of downscaling.
Record your screen activity and export the results to various formats.
