Don't buy - $4.99 is way too much for this app

Paying $4.99 for an app, it's reasonable to expect that it's flawless. This app is far from flawless. As another reviewer said, everything *kinda* works. I feel like the developer just needs to get serious about this. The UI isn't great, but not horrible. The play/pause button has the most annyoing bug… The AVPlayer responds to input from the media controls from the Apple keyboard, but the play/pause button doesn't change. Then, it's backwards if you try to use the play/pause button within the app after that i.e.) says play when it should say pause and vice versa.

This isn't a very hard app to write, you're essentially just making API requests, otherwise I would be more forgiving. Definitely not worth the $4.99 they're charging.

Really good Subsonic Streamer BUT

When you delete an artist (folder) the Submariner keeps the folder there. The only way to change it is to delete the server and re-add it :(

Also the creator NEVER responds to the email so there is no way to tell our problems and fixes needed to be done. Also most album artwork can never show up. Again to make it show up which is very unlikely is to remove the server and re-add it. This can play the music but to tell the truth the actual web version has more feature, just not much of a nice UI.

GO BUY SOMETHING LIKE THUMPER OR GET ALTERNATIVES!!!

Traversing folders doesn't work

I never write reviews but I felt compelled to because this app has so much potential…

I have all of my music organized as Genre -> Artist -> Album. It treats the "artist" folder as an album folder so that all the folders beneath are actually tracks. You cannot traverse these folders to get to the actual tracks. The app is almost completely USELESS because of this. All I want is the features of the subsonic webserver site in a stand alone app. Is that too much to ask? Hoping this gets fixed.

Also, this is NOT the same author as the iSub app on the iPad. A previous reviewer claimed it was. iSub actually works :)
