The running program does not have a main window, but rather an icon that sits in your system tray. Clicking that icon reveals the program's menu. This is the only way to interact with this program. Everything was designed to make it simple for everyone to use. The program can track both stock and currency markets. Adding symbols and currencies is simple and can be done in just 3 clicks. StockMeter is using Google and Yahoo's API for fetching the stock market data. So if one of them is acting up, the other one will work just fine. On the other hand, if you trust Yahoo better than Google, you can just use that market data provider.

The program also offers various tools for you to get more information out of market performances. For example, the currency calculator that allows you to convert one currency into multiple other currencies. So you can buy it low and sell it high easier than before.

Overall, the program is very lightweight, unobtrusive, and uses two different sources for market data. It is free, hence you won't loose much by trying it out.
