Info updated on:

Stockfish is a chess analysis utility developed for professional players. With its help, you can practice your chess playing skills and test new gameplay strategies for your upcoming competitions or tournaments.

The program is packed with a nicely-designed and user-friendly interface. It uses minimum CPU resources while running the analysis process and doesn't slow down other running tools.

You can play two-player chess games (you choose the chess piece moves for both players). The utility will provide you with useful hints regarding the available piece moves and help you develop new gameplay strategies. A great thing is that you can save your gameplay progress for later.

The only thing missing from this program is the ability to add annotations. Similar chess analysis and simulation tools provide you with this feature. It might come in handy when taking notes regarding the newly-developed gameplay strategies.

Still, this isn't a big deal, it's just something some users might find useful. So, if you're looking for an effective and free chess analysis solution, then Stockfish might be the program for you.
