This is an AppleScript application (applet/droplet) that runs the UNIX shell script hdiutil compact to compress sparse disk images. If you are unfamiliar with sparse disk images, you likely do not need this application yet. To learn more, open the Disk Utility and search its help for "sparse disk image".
