Sound Siphon is a software package that makes your Mac's audio output available as an audio input device. You can even target the audio of specific applications. It enables you to send audio from one application to another where it can be processed, streamed, or recorded.
What's new in this version:
Now works on Yosemite. Changing the play through device in preferences works more reliably. Unregistered effect has been changed to a bandpass that is turned on and off periodically. Added simple on/off switch to main UI. Fixed a bug that would result in hearing now audio on a clean install. Uninstaller is now included on the installation disk image. Custom input devices no longer have output channels.

I bought it about a year ago to try to stream music and mic pickups as part of webcast. It worked tolerably well, but you had to start things up in a certain order.
For a while under v 3.3.6, things worked pretty good. But then suddenly 3.3.6 completely broke. Literally nothing worked. The program would launch, but none of the menu items worked nor could I add any sources. Put in for a support ticket.
I waited a few weeks, upgraded to Mac OS 13 and then was prompted to update SoundSiphon 3.4.1. That at least let me add sources, and it seemed to be working for of all of day. Then it decided not to capture from sources. Sometimes I can get it to capture from one source only to have it stop capturing from another source. The thing is a piece of crap, and I does not work as advertised..
