Sorting Thoughts is a great application that will allow you to organize your ideas or thoughts by categories and keep them in one place.
The text editor is simple since you won't be able to modify the font, add color, or anything. However, the program will allow you to add attachments, link one thought to another, and add tags to find things more easily. You will also be able to create sub-thoughts, duplicate thoughts, or mark them in colors to differentiate them. The thoughts can be easily searched by name, creation name, color, modification date, etc. The full version includes more options that are not shown in the trial version. The program is very attractive and very easy to use, so you won't have problems.

I purchased a license for Sorting Thoughts last year. It was somehow to support the developer. But, as a mac user for 25 years i have to say, the app "feels" way outdated. It comes along with javascript under the hood. It is like driving a wooden scooter on a highway. From my point of view, it needs to be renewed from the ground up.Kind regards
