SmartMenu for iTunes lives in your menu bar, and reads out the currently playing track - unlike other "now playing" utilities, however, it employs a stylish smooth scrolling animation, allowing it to take up as little of that precious menu bar space as you want it to.

My bad, decreasing the width of the display fixed the issue. So, 4 stars.
Smart Menu doesn't display anything for a few months. My Mac has now OS 10.9.4 and iTunes 11.3. It only works when App Store is opened and in the foreground.
