Smart Translator can help you translate text. In this regard, the tool supports combinations of more than 40 languages.

The application has an easy-to-use interface, which is very similar of that of Google Translate. In a few steps, you can have the desired source text translated into the language of your choice: you just need to paste the text segment in the corresponding box. Then, it is necessary to pick the source and target languages from the dropdown lists and hit the button Translate. Luckily, there is an additional button that lets you invert the language pair if so you desire.

The results of the translation are quite accurate. However, the developers do not say what translation services they use. In this respect, it is a shame that you cannot switch to the desired translation engine. Likewise, the application does not seem to allow translating document files while retaining the original format. Finally, it does not support speech recognition technologies either.

All in all, I have to be frank, I see no reason in paying for translation services when I can find something similar online at no cost. In fact, the online versions of some popular translation services have much more to offer. However, just in case you are interested, there is a version for portable devices available.
