Info updated on:

Slicy is a program designed for Mac users who wish to extract elements from their PSD files and save them individually to any location within their computers. This application is very simple to use, supports drag-and-drop actions, and immediately offers you the output files you need.

You can work with this utility whenever you need to export design elements from your PSD files to use them as assets for a website. A good thing is that you don't need to install Photoshop on your Mac in order to work with this app.

After you drag-and-drop the input file over the program's main screen, Slicy automatically starts extracting the PSD components. The app enables you to preview the elements before saving them to your local drives.

My only concern regarding this tool is that you cannot select which of the PSD components to be saved to your Mac.

To sum things up, Slicy is a Mac utility that provides you with an easy and quick way to extract PSD components. Nevertheless, you can use the Photoshop's integrated slice tool to achieve the same goals but with a lot more effort. So, it's up to you to decide whether it's worth buying this app or not.
