SiteCapture allows you to take snapshots of websites. These snapshots can be saved in 5 different formats: JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, and PNG.

There are many reasons why you would want to capture a snapshot of a website, but the average user will probably not have a need for this. Some examples of people who might need this are web developers who want to save their creations to show them on a portfolio or maybe researchers might want to record newspaper frontpages. I guess there are many ways this app can be used.

Let me tell you how this app works. First, you have to tell the application which websites you want to take a snapshot of. You can add as many as you want, and they will all be done one after the other. There are some settings you can change. For example, you can set the size of the web browser used to take the snapshot (you can probably set this to your display resolution for better results) and the size of the snapshots themselves. There are two ways snapshots are taken. First, you can take a snapshot of what you can see on the screen. And, second, you can make a snapshot of the entire website. This, of course, doesn't include links or anything like that, it simply means that the app will scroll all the way down and include everything you can see on the main webpage.

SiteCapture works like a charm and it is a free tool.
