Securit Cam is a simple and light surveillance tool. Basically, its main function is to use your webcam to detect any movement and capture the last 16 frames captures by your camera. It uses motion detection technology to do this. From the moment the application is started, your webcam will be active. When it starts detecting movement, it will capture frames, until it gets to 16. After that, the first frame captured will be replaced by the newest frame captured. So at the whole period of time you will only be able to see 16 frames on the screen.
The application is incredibly simple. The main window shows the frames with the time of capture below them. The time stamp shows the time in the "hours:minutes:seconds" format. There are three buttons at the bottom of the screen: Activate, Hide, and Stop. They are pretty self-explanatory. The hide button simply hides the screen - the command that can be activated by pressing Cmd+H keys.
I guess you could use this computer to see what has happened when you were not using it. However, 16 frames won't show you much. There is no way to see what has happened after those 16 frames, either.
This is probably an app that was designed as a project for school. It is a nice proof of concept, but I don't think it is too useful for other purposes.
