Fractal is a geometrical figure in which the same pattern repeats itself in a never-ending loop. Scale is a program that helps you create stunning fractal art on your Mac. This application might come in handy whenever you wish to create an original wallpaper, a background image for a poster, and many others.
The image tool provides you with several samples which you can use for inspiration and various output profiles that can be configured according to your needs. You can zoom in or out the fractal art, change the color palette of the art piece, and opt for the proper drawing location on the background image.
Furthermore, you have access to a Random option on the main toolbar of the app. By clicking its button, the program generates fractal art using random output configurations.
The only aspect I don't like is that the program supports only one output format (PNG). Though you can use Mac's default image viewer (Preview) and export the Scale results to popular formats like JPEG, TIFF or PDF.
All in all, Scale helped me create some beautiful fractal images even though I'm not an experienced graphic designer. The app provides you with various output configurations, offers you quality results, and doesn't cost a dime.
