RoboRam Memory Cleaner was designed to offer you a simple and efficient way to improve the way your computer operates.
The utility lives on your Menu Bar where, if you click its correspondent icon, it reveals the amount of free and used memory. You also have access to the Statistics window where you can check the values for free, inactive, wired, or active memory. The offered stats is identical with the info displayed within Activity Monitor app (the default Mac app for monitoring system activity).
RoboRam Memory Cleaner also features a built-in help guide, an option to launch it at system login, and various Menu Bar icon styles.
In my testing, the app displayed that I have 300 MiB left. After I clicked the Clean button, this program reclaimed more that 500 MiB. RoboRam Memory Cleaner didn't slow down the performance of other running applications (in my case, a running music player) and took less than 10 seconds to reclaim memory.
Other programs similar to RoboRam Memory Cleaner didn't work well on my Mac. First of all, they used a large amount of CPU resources while reclaiming MiB. The other difference is that they failed to recover much memory.
In conclusion, I'd say it's definitely worth installing this free utility on your Mac if you wish to easily improve the performance of your system.
