Receipt Box is a commercial, personal finance tool. It allows you to input information about your expenditures and account for them all in a single location. This app functions like a real receipt box, where you put all your receipts over a week or month and then calculate how much you spent over that period. Receipt Box will make all the counting for you. The only thing you have to do is create an account and input some data for each receipt.
The first time you run Receipt Box, it will ask you to create an account. After you have done that, you can start adding receipts by clicking on the "Add" button from the top toolbar. A new window will pop-up. Here you will be able to add a VAT Reg number, a company name, invoice number, amount, tax rate, tax amount, invoice date, a description and choose a category for your invoice. Some of the available categories are Fuel, Entertainment, Education and Personal Care. If your Mac has a web cam, you can also take a snapshot of the receipt.
There are some extra features like support for templates (which make it easy to add recurring receipts) and charts, which show a visual representation of your expenditures over time.
