Radio Paradise is a Mac utility that enables you to listen to a diverse assortment of songs, without playing needless chatters or commercials to ruin your experience. The program features a user-friendly interface, doesn't require website registration to listen to its music, and uses minimum CPU resources while playing songs.
I've been using for a couple of years now, on both my Mac and my smartphone. The music genres are numerous and there's a small change you'd be hearing the same song playing again during the day, unlike commercial radio stations.
But the thing I like the most is the fact that it doesn't interrupt my listening experiences with annoying commercials or radio shows with hosts chatting for long periods of time. Also, the audio quality is excellent.
You can play music without logging into your Radio Paradise account. However, you can create an account to get access to more features and join the community to talk about your new favorite music, leave comments, etc.
Another great aspect is that the program also provides you with detailed info about the song that is currently being played, such as lyrics and ratings.
The only thing I'd change would be to add the ability to define global hotkeys for controlling the player. It would be a lot quicker and easier to switch to another channel.
In conclusion, I'd say you should definitely give it a try. You have nothing to lose.
- Provides you with detailed info about the music is playing
- Plays a diverse assortment of songs
- Uses minimum CPU resources
- Lacks the ability to set global hotkeys for controlling the player
