Quicksand provides you with a solution for backing up your data to your Cloud service accounts. The application works with various Cloud storage services, lets you select which data to sync, allows you to choose the type of files that you need to back up, and much more.
Each time you open a file on your Mac, Quicksand automatically syncs it with the selected Cloud storage account. You will then be able to access the backed up document when you're away from your Mac, directly from your mobile phone or another computer.
A good aspect is that you can choose which types of files (images, movies, PDFs, etc.) to be automatically backed up. Also, the program allows you to select the files you don't want to be synced with your Cloud storage account.
You can back up your data to your Dropbox or Google Drive account. The application also lets you select a folder on your Mac where it will put the copies of the recently opened and backed up files.
In my testing, everything worked smoothly, without any issues. The program immediately synced the files I opened without slowing down the performance of my Mac.
With that being said, Quicksand proves to be a reliable solution for backing up your files to your Cloud service accounts. It's intuitive, provides you with easy to configure settings, and comes without a price.
