Sometimes it's important to immediately hide every window from your screen in order to conceal your ongoing work or to start a new task on a clean desktop.

QuickDesktop provides you with a fast and simple way to complete the aforementioned task, leaving your screen clean of any unnecessary windows.

The program runs on your Menu Bar from where you can access its Welcome window and Preferences panel. All you need to do in order to hide and reveal opened windows on your desktop is to click the app's icon. You can also define a global hotkey for hiding or concealing screens by going to the Preferences menu and entering the preferred shortcut key.

QuickDesktop also features a Help window where you can find useful instructions. However, I don't think this program requires a trip to its Help guide as it's very intuitive and has very simple to configure settings.

In my testing, the application worked flawlessly. It immediately concealed and revealed windows on my desktop, without using a large amount of CPU resources in the process.

If you make a Google search in your default browser you will learn that there are a few key combinations for hiding all windows of an active app (the one you're currently using) - Command+H or all screens except the currently active program - Command+Option+H. However, you don't have access to a hotkey for immediately hiding all opened windows from your desktop. This is why it would worth buying QuickDesktop for your Mac.
