PressReader is a program that gives you access to the digital versions of your favorite magazines and allows you to read them directly from your computer. With just a few clicks you can acquire, download, and read your newspapers, fashion magazines or sport-related publications.
The first thing you need to do is to create a personal account on the homepage of the developer. Then, you can use the credentials to log in within the app's interface. You can use the integrated search tool to immediately find the magazines you wish to fetch and schedule future download tasks.
Furthermore, the program comes with a built-in magazine reader that features the ability to zoom in or out the text content. It also provides you with support for text-to-speech feature.
However, the application doesn't always work great. For instance, it might take a while to begin download sessions and it runs slow when searching magazines.
In my opinion, the web version of this program is way more efficient. It's up to you to decide if it's worth downloading and installing this free application on your Mac or use the browser version of the utility instead.
