Info updated on:

Prepros is an application designd to compile code in various programming languages, such as SCSS, Compass, LESS, TypeScript, Stylus, or Markdown. It's mostly used by professionals like web developers or contracting engineers, so it requires a solid programming background to use its features to the fullest.

The User Interface is quite minimalist, having an easy-to-use main menu and several menu tabs. There are a few customization options that include two theme choices and multiple color themes. The memory usage is low and the button responsiveness is decent.

Prepros has a built-in HTTP and HTTPS server that can serve pages directly from the user's personal folder to an external server like Shopify, XAMPP, Wamp, MAMP or Wordpress.

Users are able to perform lots of operations like minify and compress JavaScript files, optimize jpg, png and svg images, search and install packages, or remotely inspect mobile browsers.

Furthermore, it embeds a function that shows users when they committed a code error.

All in all, Prepros is a useful utility for web developers and professionals who need a tool for compiling code in various programming languages. Its only cons are the high price tag and the low number of advanced options.
