PowerPC is a dead architecture, but there are people who like it or simply do not want to throw out their old machines.
PPCAppStore looks rather similar to the Mac Store app, so you will have no difficult to use it. The interface is divided into three vertical panes. The first of them shows a list of categories, including Utilities, Productivity, Internet, Audio, Video and many more. The second pane lists the names of the products available in the selected category together with very short description. The third pane shows important information about the product currently chosen, which includes its description and screenshots. Likewise, there are buttons to download or purchase it as well as visit its developer’s site. Unfortunately, searching for a specific application is not supported.
All in all, I am sure the owners of PowerPC macs are grateful that there is a possibility of keeping their machines alive by getting necessary apps with the help of PPCAppStore. The product is free to use but, logically, the downloaded apps do not work on modern machines.
