Portrait Painter can give your photographs a hand-painted feel. The application has a modern and easy-to-use interface, with the working area in the center of the window and a side panel to make the desired adjustments. There is also a preset gallery at the bottom. The tool supports common picture formats like JPG, PNG and TIFF.
An advantage of this application is that it can produce great effects even if the user does not have artistic skills. In this respect, it is good that it comes with 40 one-touch presets, which you can easily try and preview until you find the one you like the best. In this regard, there are two main groups of paint styles. Portrait Paint retains the original colors of the photograph to create a classic-style portrait. Bright Color, in turn, can produce much more colorful and modern results by substituting the source colors with brighter ones.
If you feel you have the skills to create more personalized results, you will probably want to use the tool’s multiple possibilities to do so. In this regard, it is possible to alter texture by picking canvas or linen. Besides, you can experiment with different values for brush size, stroke length and bristle strength.
