Poisoned is a file-sharing application for Mac OS X. Once it was a great app for downloading content from networks like Gnutella, OpenFT, FastTrack and Ares.
Perhaps, advanced users will be able to get this app to work, but I recommend beginner users to stay away from it.
One of the things that I like about this app is its design. There are four buttons on the top that take you to the network information pane, the search pane, and the downloads and uploads panes. Searches are shown on a drawer on the left, which you can close if you want. From what I remember, Poisoned was really quick in providing you with search results. This was great since the competing apps were really slow.
To sum up, unfortunately, I wasn't able to get this to work. It seems that the last time this app was updated was in 2006. And that should be why this isn't working anymore. It is a shame when this happens, but it does happen rather often.
Pros
- It supports various protocols
Cons
- Outdated
- It doesn't seem to work anymore
