PDFView is, as its name says, a program that enables you to read and examine PDF files. This PDF viewer was developed to meet the needs of any user who wishes to open, analyze, and print PDF files with little effort.

The application comes with an intuitive and customizable interface that can be easily handled by both beginners and professionals. You can change the toolbar's appearance according to your needs (add or remove items) or hide it from the main window, show the Toggle Drawer's page (allows you to preview PDF pages), and change the PDF page display mode (single page, two pages continuous, etc.).

After selecting the PDF file you wish to read, you can read its content normally (as it's displayed once selected) or in fullscreen mode. You can use the magnifying tool to check the PDF more efficiently, rotate pages if necessary, and copy text to clipboard.

PDFView also allows you to read encrypted PDF files. Unfortunately, if you forget the access password for the document, you can't check the PDF's content. Another thing I don't like about working with this app is that it doesn't let users make annotations or highlight text, features that are offered by programs from the same category. Plus, the program occasionally crashes.

To conclude, if you plan to use PDFView for a plain PDF reading, it's worth trying it. However, I wouldn't recommend this program to users who require to make simple PDF alterations, such as highlighting text or entering comments.
