PDF to Word Star is a simple application that helps you convert PDF files into editable documents and common image formats. In addition, the utility allows you to extract images from PDFs so you can save them as stand-alone files.
Without any Preferences to set, the tool is very easy to use. It opens with a straightforward and clean interface, with colored buttons for a more attractive appearance. Loading files to convert can be done either by browsing or by drag-and-drop. You can add both one file at a time, multiple files at once, or an entire folder from which the app selects automatically only the supported PDF format. If desired, the imported items can be sorted alphabetically and managed individually in terms of page rage and output profile selection. Once all settings are done, you can enable the batch conversion with only one click on the Start button. However, a preview panel would have been handy for page range selection. Unfortunately, the application misses it. Yet, the list of output profiles is quite extensive, including Word document, Rich Text Format, PowerPoint presentation, most common image file types, HTML and XML formats.
