PDF-to-Excel-Pro is designed to help you output PDF content into Excel spreadsheets. Then, you can edit the extracted data using the specific tools provided by Microsoft Excel.
The interface has a classic look and doesn't stand out for anything in particular. It was created to support batch conversion, but unfortunately, importing content can only be done one file at a time. Besides this limitation that doesn’t allow it to load multiple files at once, you are also restricted to adding files exclusively by using the browsing method, since the handy drag-and-drop mode is not supported. However, the preview is good, allowing you to inspect the content of the files meant for conversion.
The program's major asset resides in its ability to extract the text out of scanned documents. All you need to do is load the image-based PDFs, select one of the six languages supported, and enable the conversion. Yet, extracting the text of multi-page documents is a task that can't be done using the free edition of PDF-to-Excel-Pro, since this release comes with yet another severe limitation. The restriction refers to converting only the first page of a larger PDF file, leaving the rest of the pages unprocessed.
In short, this application offers a simple solution to convert single-page PDF documents into Excel spreadsheets. The conversion is smooth and stable, but the restriction in the number of pages and the lack of interesting features may make you want to look for better alternatives.
