pdf Paginate is a simple application that adds page numbers to PDF documents. This tool helps you paginate multi-page PDF files and it offers to save the results as new documents at a computer location that you determine.

The program is very easy to use. It doesn't provide complicated or hidden settings so that anyone can manage it with ease. Loading the file is done exclusively by browsing your computer within the application as the drag-and-drop alternative isn't available. Therefore, you need to access the 'Open' dialog from the drop-down menu and select the document you want to paginate. Once your PDF has been added, you can preview it and enter the start number on the first page. Consequently, the rest of the pages will receive their own consecutive number. The numbers will be placed on a fixed right-side position at the bottom of the page. You can neither place them differently nor change their font and color, since these options seem to be available only after purchasing the Pro version of the program.

However, the feature that is worth being mentioned is the program’s ability to insert text notes – in the corresponding boxes – before and after the configured page number, so that the resulting pagination can have a complex appearance, such as 'Page 1 of 10'.
