OTRDecoderX

OTRDecoderX is intended to make broadcasts recorded at OnlineTVRecorder playable on practically any media player.

Thus, this tool can decode the resulting OTRKEY files resulting from the recording and convert them to a more widely supported video format.

The application has a simple-to-use interface. In this regard, there are various ways in which you can decode the desired source files. Probably, the easiest way is by double-clicking on the OTRKEY file, which will open it on OTRDecoder and start processing it immediately. Just as simple, you can also drag the source file and drop it onto OTRDecoderX. Finally, it is also possible to use the Open menu for the same purposes. Luckily, this tool can process files in batches, which means you can import an entire folder as well.

By default, OTRDecoderX saves the decoded video file in the AVI format to the same folder of the source file. However, it is possible to go to Settings to change a few things. For instance, you can decide whether you want to keep the original OTRKEY file or send it to Trash. Likewise, you can save the output files to a custom folder. Although a decoder different from that available as built-in can be used, you cannot use a different output format or adjust any other decoding parameters.

All in all, OTRDecoder solves a very specific problem, which does not mean it cannot come very handy sometimes. As a decoder, it regrettably supports an extremely narrow range of input and output video formats. Fortunately, though, the product is open-source and available at no cost. However, donations are encouraged to keep the project going.
