Open Any Files is a Mac utility designed to help you preview various types of files on your computer.
You have access to a user-friendly interface, drag-and-drop support, and the ability to preview or pre-listen the imported files. All you need to do is to drag-and-drop the file you wish to open over the program's main window and the utility will immediately analyze the imported data.
The tool provides you with various types of information about the loaded files, such as size, creation and modification dates, SHA1, SHA256, MD2 and MD5 details. Another great thing is that you can use the program to preview movies and pre-listen songs from your local folders.
Unfortunately, doesn't offer you support for popular formats, like RAR, DjVu, etc. When dealing with unsupported formats, it recommends you other programs which can be downloaded and installed from the Mac App Store.
Furthermore, it sometimes displays only the first page of the imported text documents. In my testing, I imported an EPUB file and the program showed only the first page of the document.
Still, you have nothing to lose if you decide to give it a shot on your Mac. It might prove to be of good use in your case.
