One Switch is intended for toggling system options by means of switches directly available from the Menu Bar.

In this regard, the tool allows such diverse actions as hiding desktop icons, enabling Dark Mode, connecting headphones and displaying the screensaver. Although it is true that this product is very easy to use, it is shame that there is no help documentation.

The application is very unobtrusive and runs from the Menu Bar. Clicking on its icon there allows you to browse through the available options and toggle on or off the desired ones. Luckily, you can open the tool’s Preferences and choose the switches you want to be shown. Unfortunately, the tool cannot automatically hide those switches which your macOS version does not support. Other options include setting the application to start automatically at login and customizing its Menu Bar icon.

Good news is that some switches support setting additional options. For instance, the Eject Disk switch allows excluding specific items from ejecting. Likewise, for the Screen Resolutions switch, it is possible to pick those resolutions you want to be available. Besides, in the case of the Dark Mode switch, you can set the hours. Finally, it is good that you can record global keyboard shortcuts for each of the switches.

In short, One Switch is very convenient as it lets you access many system options from a single place. Thus, it has a direct impact on your productivity. Good to know there is a version you can download from the developer’s website and try for seven days at no cost.
