OmniPlayer is a comprehensive media player for a perfect playback experience. The application lets you play both local files and online videos with webpage URLs. The range of supported media formats is extensive, so you can enjoy your favorite movies, songs, TV shows, and video recordings conveniently on your Mac or mirrored on TV.

The utility has a clean interface, with the most important playback controls displayed on the main window. For a neat and fresh appearance, all video and audio enhancing tools are cleverly hidden under minimalist icon-like buttons, yet preserved at close reach for whenever fine video and audio settings need to be tweaked. Although the tool doesn't come with multiple themes to choose from, you will appreciate the ability to set a transparent background effect or enable the auto-hide option after a determined time interval.

Loading files to play is done easily, either by dragging and dropping them or by clicking the preview panel for browsing. The tool also allows you to create a playlist of your favorite media files for a long lasting and uninterrupted media playback, with audio and video files to play repeatedly, successively, or in the shuffle mode. However, the tool's greatest asset resides in its settings, as they give you the chance to adjust video and audio parameters. Therefore, the app allows you to modify the playback speed, change the aspect ratio, rotate and flip the image and tweak sensitive video effects like brightness, contrast, and saturation. In addition, the tool comes with a handy audio equalizer and makes it easy to adjust the audio delay. Furthermore, you have the ability to add subtitles either by loading existing subtitle files or by searching for them online. Once imported, the subtitles can be adjusted in terms of text color and size, encoding, and delay. Moreover, the tool offers easy solutions to take snapshots, create GIFs, and save video recordings while the media file is played back.

All the above-mentioned features make OmniPlayer a reliable and worth-keeping media player. Though the provided playback enhancing features are complex, they are easy to manage and control, either with mouse gestures or shortcut keys. The ability to render the playing video on the big screen is also a great advantage that few similar utilities provide.
