HP-41CV simulator


Introduction

nsim is a simulator for the HP-41CV programmable scientific calculator. It was originaly written in C by Eric Smith for X windows. nsim is made available under the terms of the Free Software Foundation's General Public License, Version 2.

Shortcuts

Mac version of nsim uses following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Numeric keyboard for basic operations
  • Letters a-z (lowercase) as drawn on keyboard
  • Keys without blue label are available with shift key:
shift-o "ON" key
shift-u "USER" key
shift-p "PRGM" key
shift-a "ALPHA" key
shift-r "R/S" key
shift-g gold key

Troubleshooting

nsim saves contents of RAM to file "~/Library/Applications Support/nsim.ram". If you need to reset calculator, simply remove that file before launching nsim.
