Sometimes I find it difficult to concentrate on my work if other people are chatting next to my desk or there's too quiet in my office.

Programs such as Noizio were developed to help you in this type of situations by playing ambient sounds in the background.

Over the years I tested many apps of its kind, but none of them offered so many features. For starters, Noizio provides 15 ambient sounds, each with an individual bar for adjusting noise level.

Furthermore, you can combine multiple audio samples and save the created mixture for later. The application lets you make as many sound mixtures as you need and stores them in a separate window for easy access.

Another advantage is the fact that the program lets you define the time of the day you want Noizio to shut down. This feature might come in handy if you're lying in your bed listening to the ambient sounds and wish to stop the app at a certain hour.

To be honest, I plan on using this application at work on a daily basis. Besides offering you many useful features, this program also comes without a price tag. Hence, I can't find any reasons why you shouldn't install it on your Mac if you wish to be more productive at work or just listen to relaxing sounds.
