NetShade is an app that lets you browse the Internet anonymously. It can direct your web traffic through a public proxy or a NetShade traffic so that other users on the Internet don't know what your real IP is. This app finds public proxies automatically, so you don't have to do anything but to tell it to which one you want to connect.
The main window has three buttons that establish how you connect to the Internet: "Direct Connection", "Public Proxy" and "NetShade Proxy". Direct Connection means that your connection isn't using a proxy. Your IP address is easily visible and your activity can be viewed and tracked. Public Proxy routes your traffic through a public proxy found by the app. It starts looking for proxies as soon as it starts and it displays a comprehensive list of all the proxies found at the bottom of the screen, along with the port used, ping and how secure it is. When you activate one of those proxies, NetShade will change your system proxy to that one. You can verify that you are indeed behind that proxy by clicking on "Verify", which will open a website that will tell you your IP address.
In my testing, I couldn't connect to a single US proxy. This is probably because those are the most wanted ones. I connected to proxies in other countries just fine.
