Music Cubes is an educational game that plays a lot like Simon. Basically, you should replay notes that the game produces on each level.
There are two modes: Train and Play. In Train, you play the game and the notes bounce when they are played. That makes it easier to remember them. However, in Play mode, only the first note of the sequence will be played, and if you don't know what the other notes sound like, you won't be able to play the game so a music background is very helpful.
When you lose, you won't see a "Game over" screen. You will just be taken to the main menu, where you can select the mode again. The game keeps a record of your best match so that you can aim to improve it every time you play.
Music Cubes is a really simple game and it is easy to play, provided you take the time to learn the sounds for each of the available notes. If you don't want to do that, you can just play in the "Train" mode.
