DEMO toolkit for CS4 (PC and MAC OS X)

Installation of plugins

Install the plugins in the following folder (you might like to add the plugin to a sub folder of plugins such as 'demos' to make it easier to
remove at a later date

OS X HD:applications:adobe illustrator CS4:plug-ins

NOTE: This set is only for CS4, the CS3 CS2 CS1 10 version is available in a separate zip file via the plugins page

NOTE: If you wish to setup an alternative folder for the plugins, go to the Illustrator menu edit > preferences > plug-ins (PC) and on the mac via the Illustrator menu, and set up an alternative folder (say in your normal account / user account - this avoids the need to set admin username and password to copy the file to the applications or program files folders.

NOTE: *** If you suffer from light sensitive issues / problems, such as rapid changing colors or flashing lights, please be very careful when you use the plugins and features such as the 'random fill' and 'random stroke' options, especially in combination with the drag interactive buttons as they can rapidly change the color and create truly intense color changes. Also changing of lines, rapid changes..

NOTE: The examples shown are only PC based, the plugins work in the same way on the MAC OS X 10.4 10.5 10.6 etc (intel)

Tryout

1) Click the multitool icon or the points tool to display dialog (these are found in the toolbox)

2) Select the tool via the bottom dropdown of the multitool box (grid tool, drag tool, windmill tool etc) - as
you select the tool, the various controls will change. The toolbox comes with a large variety of plugin tools to
create grids, repeat paths, circular designs, random designs, spirals, frames designs and more: these depend on the
tool you select via the dropdown. The points tool only has one plugin tool.

3) Select paths / path / symbols / images / text (as a symbol) / gradients / mesh (for the multitool); select only
paths for the points tool

so for the multitool you can select the following (+ other types) of paths or multiple types

4) Drag to define the range of the effect (such as the size of the circular design etc)

NOTE: The demo shows only in outline... the full release version creates the 'actual' paths as displayed on the web pages

NOTE: The demo only works until you release the mouse, on exit, the generated paths etc are deleted

NOTE: Color effects etc are not displayable in the demo as the designs are only shown in outline

if you have the full version.. the above result would be displayed; in the demo, only the outline is shown so none of the color / random color etc can be seen
