Minim is an application that allows you to organize and share your compositions. It works for musicians, songwriters, podcasters or others persons who want to create any kind of audio project. It can load songs and podcasts with metadata, collect them into albums, as well as store the associated files.
The interface is good looking, simple and well organized. The main screen has three tabs: songs, podcasts and ideas. Creating audio projects comes with many additional files like recordings, videos, metadata, lyrics, notes or collaborators. The program helps you organize these files together, so that you can focus on the creation part. With the iChat and Address Book integration it gets easier to add collaborators and their contact details.
In the idea tab you will find the record function. It is designed for recording demos or ideas that pop out in your mind.
It comes with a well-structured manual that contains keyboard shortcuts and tutorials for every feature.
When you finish a project you can upload it with one click to iCompositions.com, a community for Mac-based musicians.
