Info updated on:

mini PNG Lite is a simple application designed to help you reduce the size of PNG images. Consequently, you will save valuable storage space on disk drives, apps, websites, and e-mails. In addition, the tool lets you optimize your photos for easy upload on social networks.

The utility opens with a simple and intuitive user interface. Still, if you have doubts about managing the tool's features, you can watch the video tutorial or view a sequence of screenshots with most relevant functions of the application. From Preferences, you can set the quality of the output files. Loading files to process is done either by drag-and-drop or by browsing your computer for PNG files. Adding individual files or entire folders for batch processing is fully supported. Imported items can be previewed within the embedded image viewer. Previewing files is great, yet it would have been even better if the panel displaying the pictures could have been larger. Once you finished loading the files, you can enable the compression with just one click. While the process is in progress, the tool displays the real-time number of analyzed images and the amount of saved space. Since the app doesn't display the original size of files, you need to trust the app that the information about size reduction is correct (unless you decide to take each source file, inspect the size individually, and compute manually the total size of the inputs).

In short, mini PNG Lite offers a simple solution to compress PNG images. It allows you to manage up to 20 files per day, a limitation that can be exceeded if upgrading to the full version.
