Mindix is a simple Mac utility that helps you create mind maps with just a few clicks. This program might prove to be of good use for brainstorming sessions as it allows you to create connections between multiple ideas using text content and images and helps you decide which is the best solution for the debate in question.
The application comes with a user-friendly interface so anyone can easily handle it. You also have access to an integrated help guide that provides you with all the information you could possibly require. For instance, it teaches you how to add nodes to your mind map and connect the ideas with ease.
You can add text content and images to the cloud-shaped nodes, undo modifications if necessary, and arrange the nodes however you like in the mind map. Once you finish altering your work, you can export the project to your local directories and share the document with other users.
Personally, it would've been great if it offered additional shapes for the nodes. Another thing that bothers me is that it supports a small amount of image formats when importing pictures for the nodes (it doesn't support popular formats like GIF, PSD or BMP). Also, it has a limited number of output profiles: PDF, OPML, PNG, and MINDIX.
Yet, this program is free of charge so you have nothing to lose if you choose to give it a try on your Mac.
