Meteorologist is a weather utility created for Mac users who are looking for an alternative to searching forecast info in their default browsers. The program provides you with accurate weather information, allows you to monitor forecasts for multiple locations from around the world, and uses minimum CPU resources while running on your Menu Bar.
You can enter the name of the cities you wish to monitor within the Preferences panel. The app lets you choose between two weather sources (Yahoo! and OpenWeatherMap), select the preferred measuring units for degrees, distance or speed, and opt for the proper info update frequency.
Another important advantage is that the program provides you with alerts for extreme weather conditions.
The one thing that bothers me about this application is the fact that it occasionally runs slow. This usually occurs when exiting the Preferences panel after making changes in the city name list. However, other than this issue, nothing bad can be said about this program.
Hence, you should give this application a try if you're looking for an effective and accurate weather tool for your Mac. What's more, you don't have to pay a dime to use it on your computer.
View weather patterns all over the world, with real-time cloud cover and a 7-day forecast.
Battery Report creates detailed reports about your computer and any connected power sources.
