Mencoder is currently the only (and fastest) direct DVD-DIVX ripping tool for the Macintosh. Run cropdetect. Then stop encoding and type crop values (to crop and enable crop), and disable cropdetect.Try using a custom setting, then type start dvd conversion. Wait for output to finish, then check the final movie size (in terminal).
