In its current release ManageMyFiles can be used to edit multiple filenames as if the names are contained in a text editor instead of the line-based Finder interface.
You can select multiple files and edit all the names without going through the multiple-click exercise you have to in the Finder.
Simply go up and down each filename by using the up and down arrow keys.
