MagicanPaster can help you monitor lots of different information about your system right from the desktop. In this respect, the app shows various gadgets with such data as CPU usage, RAM usage, hard drive usage, network usage, battery health and temperature.
There are various settings you can access from its icon in the Menu Bar. In this respect, you can control each gadget, including its visibility and skin. Likewise, you can set global hotkeys to access it at any moment. Unfortunately, despite the availability of several skins, they are not very attractive. Similarly, it is a shame that the app is too obtrusive, up to the point of completely filling your desktop. In this respect, it would be preferable that system data be shown in a single streamlined display, like so many other similar tools do. It is also inconvenient that it cannot show the temperature in Fahrenheit degrees.
In general, MagicanPaster is an option for you to monitor your system’s state. In this regard, it provides accurate information you can trust. However, it does not allow configuring alerts when certain conditions that could damage your system (such as excessive temperature) are met, except for low battery level. Luckily, this product is free, but I should advise you to consider other similar utilities before making a decision.
