This application combines a video converter and a DVD ripper. Both of them can be used to convert your media, be it a DVD movie or video file, to the H.264, MPEG-4, MOV, and FLV video formats. They also can output files into MP3, if what you want to do is to rip the audio off a clip and discard the video. What you will see when you run is a launcher that will take you to two separate apps. You can't run them both at the same time, though.
Both the DVD ripper and the video converter share an identical graphical user interface. It consists of a toolbar, a space where the files on your conversion queue or the DVD titles are listed, and the conversion settings at the bottom. The different supported output formats are displayed in different tabs.
Unfortunately, neither the ripper nor the converter have any editing features. Most shareware converters come with at least a trimmer, but not this one. The one feature that this app comes with that most others don't is a YouTube video downloader. It works well and it lets you download and convert videos to your Mac.
I tried the video converter, and it also worked quite well. It is not an advanced video converter, but it does work as expected.
